playful. i love you cute little crackas by your speech if it's said among black people then it's in a playful manner. I'm not sure what race you're in real life, and you don't know what I am either. I could have taken that in a derogatory manner, what if you're white irl and I'm black? because by your speech, the color of your skin determines how the n word is represented, not how you yourself wants it to be perceived.

playful. i love you cute little crackas So if you're stating how you wanted the word to be perceived, in this case playful... and since it's ok for black people to say the word as a playful meaning, then it's ok for white people to say it as a playful meaning too right? because Nate stated when white people said it, it comes off in a derogatory manner because of history. but Crystal is coming out and saying that she can decide how the word is being perceived, so Nate's argument is now thrown out the window and anyone is able to say the N word because they're the ones who determine how the word is being perceived.

To Crystal and Artis, yes I do live in probably the most racially diverse city in the world, and in the high school I went to, 90% of the school listened to rap and hip hop, even those that weren't black. So Crystal's argument that white people don't listen to rap music is completely invalid. Not to mention that if we want people to be truly equal, we can't say that only certain ethnic or racial groups are allowed to use certain words, because that further emphasizes the racial divide. And to boost Rob's credibility that you don't know what race or ethnicity the person playing a character is, I'm a minority in real life

From what most people are saying the N word i believe anyone cay say it if it's in a playful way. Just like many other words out there (Queer, Gay, the F Word, even Bitch). I know people that say it and then say sorry because one of their friends are black but because it was playful the black person doesnt mind it being said. Some people take it personally but many people, especially now a days when anything is possible its not a big deal if its used in a playful manner.
