POSTER
MAIN CHARACTERS
Ted: Calculating and cruel mastermind. He has rounded up a group of individuals, some willing and some not, to kill one another on an island for the world to see. Each contestant is initially provided with one item.
Ghandia: Ted's right hand woman. The original idea for the competition was hers, and she urges Ted to introduce increasingly sadistic twists to the game for her own gleeful pleasure. At one point, she pestered Ted so much that she wanted to "see someone die already" that Ted reluctantly introduced "the pit", which is just a small hole in the ground with that Holly and Roxy eventually get thrown into and are forced to bludgeon one another to the death.
Big Tom: A psychopathic mute with a hatchet in tow. Unfortunately for him, he has no idea what he's doing and mostly wanders around aimlessly.
The Shusher: Sneaky as a cat, sly as a fox. Yasmin is armed with only a piece of wire and is able to sneak up behind people undetected, whispering "bi...to..." in her victims' ears just as they let out their dying breaths. Yasmin doesn't have any allies on the island to speak of, so when she's not out killing people, she enjoys sitting locked away in a small cabin, whispering to herself. Others hear these whispers and assume she is plotting something and see her as a threat, but really she's just fucking insane.
Holly: The one who's clearly out of her element with all these youngins runnin' around. She tries desperately to fit in and gain some allies, but really she is just making people turn against her more and more. Unfortunately for Holly, she was provided with nothing but a megaphone.
Roxy: A devout Christian, she believes if she leans on her unwavering faith, then she cannot possibly be defeated in this valley of the shadow of death. This is only affirmed when she wins her bout in "the pit" against Holly. Roxy's weapon is a scythe, which she sees as a sign from God, and she refers to herself as the "Angel of Death".
Ozzy: A leader of men. Ozzy firmly believes that if they band together, they can kill Ted and Ghandia and end this sick game. Armed with a slingshot, which is partially the reason he's so intent on banding together, because he knows he's fucked otherwise.

Malcolm: A deranged stoner who follows the crowd. Most don't see him as a real threat, even though he's armed with three grenades, because he's so damn laidback. Eventually, though, something's gotta give.
Ramona: She looks harmless on the outside, but she is a puppet master. She turns allies into enemies, and enemies into allies, all for her own gain. Armed with a poisoned blade which she keeps strapped to her thigh.
GC: He may not be the most lethal or most cunning, but he behaves in a more militaristic fashion. Both he and Gervase attempt to gather up armies to oppose one another, but neither gains any traction, and they are left merely becoming each other's white whale. GC is armed with a Glock, which he insists on holding sideways when firing.
Gervase: Like was said, is in a mutual cat-and-mouse game with GC. Gervase is armed with a sawed-off shotgun.
Osten: An absolute dope. It's a miracle that he even survived the boat ride to the island. Is armed with a Super Soaker, which he legitimately believes is the best weapon out of everybody's.
Jed: One unhappy motherfucker. He feels that everybody is after him specifically. Lucky for him, he was armed with an AK-47, which he uses with intense murderous rage and immense satisfication.
Artis: Pure evil. There are whispers in the night; legends and tales about how Artis will come to slaughter each and every one of them. Osten, in particular, cowers in fear at the very mention of his name. Artis was actually one of the few who entered the competition willingly, and carries with him a butcher's blade. Even when his enemies drop long-range weapons such as arrows or guns or even grenades, he refuses to pick them up because he prefers to feel the convulsions and whimpers of men as he drains the life from them with his vicious hacks and slashes.
Colton: Was actually a TV commentator for the game, viciously criticizing all of the contestants and rambling about how he could do so much better than these amateurs, when Ted offered him the chance to join. Since joining, he's found it's a lot harder than it looks. Colton is armed with a crossbow.
Crystal: Actually was offered a rocket launcher but refused it in favor of a keg of beer. She keeps the keg snugly strapped to her back at all times, even though it slows her down so much she's basically a sitting duck.
Kelly: A wild card. She has made many promises and alliances in this game, and she only holds to them when she feels like it. Armed with a sniper rifle, she sometimes shoots people, regardless of allegiance, because she simply finds it funny.
Alicia: Despite being the one armed with a flamethrower, she has a heart of gold and refuses to use it. She urges everybody to lay down their weapons and not succumb to this sick game, but she is largely ignored and highly sought-after due to people wanting to get their hands on her weapon.
Ethan: The goofball, never taking anything seriously, even when his life is on the line. The ultimate fan who is only here because his friend bet him he couldn't do it. His personality reflects his weapon of choice... a sock full of pennies.
Cirie: Artis's sister, the only family member left in his life. She has no weapon, but is only here to talk her brother out of this crazy madness.
RC: High school geek turned Professional WWE Diva. She has revenge on her mind after Artis bullied her all through school. She has used her weapon to tie Cirie up with rope, torturing Artis is her only goal.
Rob: Blind as a bat, he relies on his other senses to overpower everyone in his way. Former black belt martial arts expert, his hands are the only thing he needs to rely on.
PLOT SUMMARY
The year is 2199. Poverty has diminished the United States into a bleak, desolate wasteland. Homeless people of all kinds crawl through the streets in search of sustenance. In the distance, a large crowd jostles to catch a glimpse of a poster tacked on a crumbling wall. A lucrative ten-million-dollar-prize awaits the winner of a sadistic tournament organized by two devious and scheming individuals…
Ted and Ghandia, a brother and sister duo. They've made millions in their multiple businesses. However, they thrived on money and wanted more. Even more then money they loved to be in control. They devised this plan and made it a world wide PPV in close to 100 countries and in 6 continents. They have open betting options online and also selling merchandise. They intend to monopolize this sick and twisted game as much as they can all the while doing it in sheer enjoyment. Very few actually volunteer to go willingly, but Ted has found...alternative ways to persuade people to participate. Namely, threatening their families.
Fast forward 3 months later, on the beautiful island of Mauritius, 20 individuals arrive by air and sea to gather at the center of the island where a tremendous, ominous building stands. These desperate competitors menacingly eye one another as a loud voice resonates through the island:
“Welcome to Race Wars 2199!” he begins. “Whether you like it or not, the next few weeks will be a living hell and only ONE of you will survive to tell the tale.”
“Hahahahahah” a woman interrupts, cackling. “You have no idea what’s in store for you! With that, let the war begin!”
With little instruction, a mad scramble immediately ensues. Some seek refuge by running into the jungle; whereas, others turn to face each other head on. They each have been provided with an item but some clearly are better off than others. Towering over others in weight and height, Big Tom becomes a target. He attempts to claw his way out of the onslaught, but his efforts become futile as more people join in ensuring his demise. "Fuck you cuntholes," the supposed mute moans with his final breath.
In the jungle, Shii-Ann cautiously walks along, wielding culturally-appropriate, customized chopstick-blades. She notices fish and rice pudding on the ground ahead of her. Feeling famished from anxiety, she takes a step toward it, only to realize it is a trap. The last thing she sees is a large log in free fall; it crushes her unceremoniously.
Meanwhile, Nate celebrates as Colby falls to his death by carving him open with a pocket knife. Channeling vampirism, he goes straight for the jugular. He, however, does not notice the red scope light aimed at his forehead. With the pull of a trigger, his head is split right open with a bullet to his brain from a sniper rifle. As the camera pans up, a woman’s silhouette struts away.
As day one draws to a close, Yasmin rests in her cabin, muttering gibberish to herself. Voices outside catch her off guard; Malcolm and Artis walk toward the hut, pursuing shelter. Quickly ready, Yasmin ambushes them upon opening the door, using her wire as a choking mechanism. Malcolm witnesses Artis and Yasmin fighting, and runs away. As he runs, he throws his grenade into the hut, hoping to kill two blacks with one stone. The flying grenade distracts Yasmin, and Artis breaks free. He runs into the forest as Yasmin is detonated.
Behind the scenes, the two organizers of the event, Ted and Ghandia, clearly enjoy themselves as they watch all the action through a multitude of screens. They eat fried chicken and sip grape Kool-aid. Ghandia, who is anxious for more bloodshed, pesters Ted to introduce “The Pit”. Ted reluctantly agrees and has a small pit dug into the ground.
The next morning, Ted and Ghandia ask the remaining contestants to vote one white and one black contestant to duel in “The Pit.” Roxy and Holly receive the most votes, and are brought back to the center of the island. Upon jumping into the pit Ted announces that the only one of them will step out alive, and the winner of this duel will be pampered at the island’s only 5-star hotel. Holly starts shouting and screaming into her megaphone, hoping to persuade Roxy to give up this madness. Roxy, impervious to the ranting, walks up toward Holly. With a mighty swing of her scythe, she splits the megaphone in half, simultaneously decapitating Holly. Bathed in the blood of her opponent, she climbs out of The Pit. Roxy takes a deep breath and holds up her weapon towards the sky as a sign of victory.
Alicia and Ozzy had banded together in their shared distaste for the games. Ghandia and Ted were both horrible psychopaths, and violence wasn't the answer. The two of them discussed quietly their plans to take down the Hosts, but even though that plot stayed off cameras, their protests against the game were well known.
Most of the viewers in the audience hated the two and wanted to see them lose. When the auction came to bid on a new item-kit to send into the game, the offers poured in. Most were meant for the biggest psychopaths, and Frostilicious, ruler of a small kingdom known as Crush was willing to pay in slaves, but the auction's surprise winner, Yazzy Yeff, a famous DJ and cousin of Yasmin the Shusher wanted nothing more than to see the game brought down. He thought that shit was wack, and he had a grudge against the two that caused all this.
And so, Alicia and Ozzy got ahold of a bottle of strong acid, parachuted in to their exact location.
They made their plans, but unfortunately, plans were subject to change.
Colton, the TV personality who believed he could do better, struggled with his crossbow. He expected a gun. He didn't know how to handle this thing. Somehow, though, this shot worked. Alicia took an arrow straight through the eye and was out mid-sentence while discussing peace and diplomacy with Ozzy.
Colton grinned. He was doing well! And now, he had a much better weapon just inches away. Firing again, this time at Ozzy, Colton lumbered forward, shooting and reloading clumsily as he went and Ozzy retreated, terrified.
Colton looted the flamethrower from the poor dead girl's corpse. Maybe he sucked at the crossbow. Fine. He could take out Ozzy with FIRE.
But Ozzy had one more trick up his sleeve. He took the bottle of acid, adorned with DJ Yazzy Yeff's face on the side, and he threw it at Colton and ran like hell as Colton screamed with pain as the acid melted part of his face off.

RC knew Artis was out here somewhere. She was gonna find him.
She didn't know where he was, but she knew he was dangerous and she probably wouldn't survive it. But so be it. She didn't care. What mattered to her was taking down that villain. He called her four eyes in high school. She cried for a week. Now she was older, stronger, prettier, and she had lasix. And now Artis was going to die.
She had no beef with anyone else. Cirie was the biggest obstacle but RC used the rope she received to tie the fattie up. But now, Ramona stood in he way, and she was all out of rope. So she resolved to scream at Ramona until Ramona told her where Artis was.
Ramona had no idea where Artis was. She was staying the fuck away from the psycho. But she could tell RC was in a fuss and she was a little worried the wrestler was going to snap her neck.
So Ramona made a plan.
She'd salvaged Holly's megaphone, and gave it to RC to use to call out the butcher. She was certain, if you called him, Artis would come.
So the two parted ways alive.
GC thought Gervase was a dick. Gervase thought GC was an asshole. They had bumped into each other on the ride over, and it had been uncomfortable. And thus began their intense and heated rivalry for the ages.
Neither thought they could beat the other alone, so both had gone off to recruit others for an alliance against the other. Ultimately, GC, with the help of a pot of rice and natural charisma, had talked Malcolm and a somewhat intoxicated Crystal into joining his army.
Gervase, on the other hand, had found Kelly wandering around, and with an offer of some snacks he'd found, he got the girl on his side. And when Colton stumbled upon the two, horribly disfigured and in a serious amount of pain, Gervase's second General was recruited after tending the man's acid wounds.
The armies evaded each other for a while. Both tried to get the other caught unawares, but their movements seemed to mirror each other and in the end, they followed each others' trails in a circle for hours.
Eventually, though, Crystal stumbled over drunkenly and Colton pushed for the opportunity to charge. Burns or no, he didn't get into this to play games. He was here to prove himself. He was here to win. He was here to kill people.
A skirmish broke out, and Colton stood above Crystal, a smirk on his face.
Kelly fired her weapon. The truth is she had no idea how to aim that thing. She was trying to hit Gervase. Or GC. One of them. They were in the middle of stand across a small stream from each other, facing off dramatically in the pouring rain, shouting at each other about their rivalry. Kelly was bored so she was hoping to hit one of those two when she fired.
Colton whipped out his new toy, thrilled to get to use it, grinning in spite of how the pulling skin made his burns hurt even worse. This, ladies and gentlemen, was his moment.
Crystal pulled up her keg of beer, trying to shield herself as the former television personality turned scarred psychopath let loose with the flames. At that same time, GC called Gervase a dick. Gervase called GC an asshole. And Kelly's bullet hit Crystal's personal beer supply, and the alcohol spilled everywhere. Crystal's ensuing blood-curdlingly scream could be heard all the way across the island.
The cameras in the area were mostly wiped out. No one saw exactly what happened in what sequence. Cameras far enough showed a massive ball of flame and fireworks erupt in the area.
No one knew the exact details, but no one left the battle alive.
--
Elsewhere, RC screamed into the megaphone, calling out Artis, using whatever insults she could think of. "Jerkface" was frequently used.
Jed had no idea what all the screaming was about, but he was not happy. He never was happy. But this time he was especially unhappy. He tried to calm down. He tried to stop the boiling rage. But that voice grated on him too much.
He tracked down the source, gun in hand, and opened fire.
Nearby, Artis approaches Roxy with his butcher's blade in hand. Roxy swung her scythe menacingly. "I am Abaddon, the angel of death, in the flesh. You cannot defeat Death!" she cackled. Artis stared at her confusedly for a second, before shrugging and chucking his blade at her. It cut the scythe in half before lodging into Roxy's throat. Artis smiled and picked it up, and suddenly heard the screaches in the air, and then heard Jed's bullets fly, then glorious silence. He smiled.
--
Ethan swung around his "weapon" a few times. A sock full of pennies... not exactly the badass machine gun or katana or whatever he had expected when he signed up. If he survived, his buddy that dared him to play this was getting the sock-ful, and nothing else out of the 10 million.
It's not like ten mill even covered a lot of expenses nowadays... Looking back on the whole thing Ghandia and Ted were pretty fucking cheap.
But Ethan was gonna win. He didn't have much, but he was determined. And he watched a ton of action movies and stuff. So, you know, he was prepared for the wor---
SNAP!
The worst came, and Ethan saw his killer's face only for an instant as his head was forcibly turned, just seconds before the world went dark...
--
Osten hid in a scrub brush, clinging tightly to his super soaker. They laughed and said it was a dumb weapon, but naw naw naw, he knew. It was good. He hugged it to his chest, counting down down the minutes before he would attack, even if he kept restarting after losing his count. He had his target picked. He was a super soaker expert and he could take him down with one shot!
Jed wouldn't know what hit him!
Only... when Osten leaped up to fight his foe, he didn't know what hit Jed either. He looked down at his weapon, pretty sure he hadn't fired, but... maybe he was just that fast? No. Looking closer, a giant axe stuck out from inside of the blonde man's back. And then the devil himself stood before him. Artis, the butcher.
Osten screamed girlishly. It was evil incarnate here to kill him! Oh no!
But Osten was smart. He had been here before. He knew what this was and he knew what worked the last time. He just had to wake up!
Osten furiously blinking and singing to himself in the middle of a field as Artis approached.
Artis grinned at a second, most beautiful oppurtunity. This was his passion. While most of the other competitors felt a little bad about the whole murder thing, and were in it for the money, Artis just loved the hell out of watching the life flicker out of his victims' eyes.
Jed hadn't seen it coming, which was boring, but this guy was frozen with fear. Possibly seizing.
But someone else appeared. Someone unexpected.
"Don't do it! You aren't a monster!" It was Cirie. Artis's beloved sister. They didn't look alike; they weren't even actually related, but they grew up in the home together and Cirie was the only one that ever looked out for him. But Artis wasn't weak, and he wasn't going to let anyone stop him from having fun. "You aren't supposed to be a monster... we can walk away bro. We can get out of here"
What followed was a long speech about family and the sancitity of life and the other major themes of the tale as Artis stood frozen above Osten with hatchet in hand and Osten stared back blinking him away wondering why it was taking so long to wake up.
Somehow, Cirie got through to her brother though. He stopped for a moment, dropped his weapon, and stared at her for a long time before embracing his beloved sister in a hug.
The two held each other tightly, so glad to be a family again. Nothing in the world could go wrong.
Until something went wrong.
Artis felt something cold in his sister's back. His butcher's blade.
He broke from the hug and saw Osten standing there with an "I-did-good-right?" smile. Artis didn't even think before snapping Osten's neck.
---
Ozzy was shaking uncontrollably. It was clear no one else bought into this whole "beat the system" thing. And why did he have to get stuck with a slingshot? Such a useless weapon. Ozzy's lamentations were cut short when he heard rustling in the bushes around him. He looked around in a panic and saw nothing...until he squinted and saw something white and gleaming in the harsh sunlight. Artis' smile. Artis stepped out of the bushes and threw Alicia's head at Ozzy's feet. He had taken a special detour just for that bit of theatricality, and boy was it worth it. Ozzy immediately pissed himself and started begging for mercy. Artis grinned as he saw he had taken the supposed leader of a revolution and reduced him to this...sniveling mess. Artis dropped his blade and jaunted over to Ozzy, appearing to want to comfort him. He went for a hug with one arm...but with the other, he grabbed Ozzy's slingshot. Before Ozzy could react, Artis wrapped it tightly around his neck and choked him out.
---
Ramona saw the whole thing. Not just Ozzy's death, even. She had been following Artis around for much of the game. Watching him. Studying him. She finally felt the time was right to strike. She snuck out of the foliage while he had his back turned to her.
"Hello, Ramona." Artis grinned without even looking back.
He quickly grabbed for his massive butcher's blade. Artis sized her up and it appeared she was unarmed. Not sensing any threat, he brashly charged towards her, ready to cleave her torso clean off. But Ramona backed up against a tree. Just as Artis swung his blade at her, she ducked down and rolled out of the way. Artis got his blade stuck deep in the tree. He briefly tried to pull it out then shrugged. No matter, it's not like this scrawny woman can beat me in hand-to-hand combat anyway.
Ramona stared down Artis and gestured him to bring it on. As Artis charged at her once again, with cat-like reflexes she grabbed a small blade from a strap on her thigh and plunged it into his arm. Artis staggered backwards then laughed. Did she really think such a puny blade would hurt him? He nonchalantly pulled it out of his arm...but then he started to cough. He coughed into his hand and when he looked down he discovered it was covered in blood. He crumpled to the ground and looked sheepishly up at Ramona, who was leaning calmly against a tree, waiting for him to succumb to the poison. The world soon went black for Artis and he perished.
---
Ramona traveled the battlefields of the island, looking for the others. She wasn't all that interested in killing, but she was interested in the money. Very, very interested.
But she didn't encounter anyone living for a long time. There were remains so charred that all that was left were bone fragments and teeth. The were piles of flesh that were no longer identifiable as human, which Ramona avoided at all costs.
She passed Ethan and a few other bodies, bruised up, but not terribly mutilated. She thought she counted every body in the game as gone now. So... why hadn't she won? Where was the jet? The smiling psychopaths? The money?
She thought she had to be alone. Wasn't that everyone? Artis and Cirie and Osten and the charred skeletons... who was she missing.
Then, standing before her, she encountered the final foe.
Rob.
And then there were two. Rob and Ramona were the last two standing. They fought hard and did well to survive. Rob was exceptional in surviving so long especially while impaired. Ramona showed that women are definitely equal to men on the battle ground. The end came when Ramona spotted Rob wandering in the jungle. She crept up behind him wielding her poisoned blade. As she lunged, Rob's instinct kicked in. He moved out of the way and grabbed hold of her arm. The blade fell to the ground and Rob grabbed hold of Ramona's head. Within mere seconds he had his arms around her, choking her and not letting her out of his grip. In one fell swoop he changed gears, grabbed her neck, and twisted as hard as he could. Ramona's head did a complete 180 as her head was turned toward her back. Blood streamed from her mouth as the crackle was heard. Her body lay limp in Rob's hand as he yelled out.
After this moment the lights came on and it was over. Rob had stood tall and emerged victorious. The spotlights pierced through a once beautiful island now filled with blood and carnage. Ted and Ghandia quickly ran to greet Rob. He flinched back but they announced who they were. They advised him he was the winner. The millions of viewers watched on as the RACE WARS were finally over after a few grueling days.
Ted interviewed Rob and he was ecstatic about the ten million and happy to survive. He said he did it for all the people out there who think things can't be done. It was a warm heart felt message.
After the interview was over, Ted instructed the cameras to turn off and that was it, the show was over. Ted walked behind Rob and explained how the payments would be made. After a little while it was quiet. Ghandia began to laugh and then it was silent. There was a click.
All Rob could do was say "FUCK" as two bullets pierced the back of his skull leaving fragments all over the place. He fell to the floor as Ted put one more shot in his back. Ghandia stood over with her menacing laugh. Ted looked over at her with his evil smile.
"In the end he too was a hamster, a puppet, a rat in our maze."
He instructed his crew Frosti, Natalie and Ace to dispose of the body and spread word Rob was going away to some undisclosed island. The movie ends as Ted and Ghandia laugh at the dispense of the souls and the lives lost over the last few days. The movie ends with Ted saying these last few words.
"Can't wait till next year."
